About Us

Founded in 1997 in Wales, TOAST began with nightwear and loungewear inspired by the surrounding landscape and a slower way of life. Since then, we have been creating simple, modern and functional pieces intended to last for years to come.

Designing for Longevity

We make long-lasting clothing designed to be worn every day. Our shapes are simple but functional; materials are carefully chosen for their beauty, quality and durability.

The colours we use are rooted in nature, creating a palette of considered shades from deepest indigo to ochre.

Each piece is designed with great care, using natural materials where possible, to ensure they can be worn and loved for a lifetime.

Our Circle initiatives are guided by the belief that we have a responsibility to care for our clothes. We continuously explore resourceful ways to keep our garments in use for longer.

Sustaining Craft

We work with makers around the world to create original fabrics, prints and homewares with unique characteristics. They are made using time-honored methods, from hand-woven textiles to intricate embroideries.

Our pieces are a celebration of the people who make them. We share the stories of these pieces in print and online. By championing creativity, craftsmanship and authenticity, we hope to play a part in preserving traditions that might otherwise be lost.

Our vision is simple. In a world inundated with mass production, handcrafted pieces become treasured items to keep and pass on.

Our Community

Our collections are created in collaboration with skilled suppliers, designers and makers who share our values.

We find beauty in nature, people and places. We bring together like-minded individuals through a series of events, talks and workshops.

The work of makers, artists and writers can often be found amongst our pieces, both online and in our shops.

We will continue to grow our community in the collaborations we make and in the stores that we open. Together, we hope to foster a more thoughtful way of being.
