At TOAST, we are grateful to have grown an international community over the years, connecting with people from our local high streets to diverse corners of the world. In 2024, we began a partnership with an independent concept store in Japan, a country which continually inspires us with its rich natural landscapes and storied craft traditions.

Offering our collections at Nid Tokyo has allowed us to more meaningfully engage with the local culture. Launched in 2006 in the city’s dynamic Shibuya district, the store is a cherished destination for clothing, craft and considered design. Nid introduces its community to emerging and lesser-known brands through a programme of exhibitions and events, creating opportunities for exposure. The name Nid comes from the French word for "nest", reflecting the store’s position as a calm, welcoming space within the fast-moving metropolis.

Last month, we celebrated this ongoing partnership with a week-long pop-up at Nid. The event showcased our Spring Summer 2026 collection, A Shared Table, which celebrates the rituals of a good meal – slowing down, gathering together, and finding connection around the table.

Alongside our womenswear, menswear and home collections, visitors were invited to experience pieces from a collaboration with Leach Pottery. The historic ceramics studio, based in Cornwall, is renowned for its enduring influence on British studio pottery. Inspired by Japanese tea ceremonies, the collection of cups and pourers captures the spirit of A Shared Table and a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, utility and timeless design.

Ahead of the opening, a preview event was held on 15 May. The evening brought A Shared Table to life through food, objects and setting. Seasonal cook Yuri Nomura of eatrip provided food and table styling, while floral arrangements were designed by VEIN, offering guests an immersive introduction to the collection's inspiration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Nid pop-up. Visit the store at 1F, 1-3-2 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0041, Japan.
