In our series Community Threads, we bring together the creative individuals who make up our TOAST shop teams and explore the ways in which they thoughtfully style pieces from our new collections.
For this instalment, we visit our Philadelphia shop, which is housed in a historic mansion near Rittenhouse Square which was once the Italian Consulate. The 19th-century building features original stained glass and wooden flooring.
Alexandra
Alexandra has been at TOAST since the Philadelphia store opened in late April 2026. Locally, her go-to coffee shop is Elixr and she also enjoys “1-900 ice cream and Mission Taqueria for happy hour.”
Alexandra is 5'7 and wears a size US 6 or UK 10. She wears the Orla Donegal Wool Sweater in Corallite with the Slanted Pleat Cotton Skirt in Brick. “I love the autumnal color palette.”
Mark-Edward
Mark-Edward has been at TOAST almost two years, starting in the Brooklyn shop and helping with TOAST’s first official US opening. “Now I’m three months into being the Operations Manager for Philadelphia,” he says.
Mark-Edward is 5’11 and wears small/medium in tops and 32 or medium in bottoms. He wears the Loop Button Check Cotton Wool Shirt.
Brianna
Brianna started at TOAST two months ago. In the neighbourhood, she likes to go to Alchemy Coffee, a local coffee shop only a few blocks away from the store on 119 South 21st Street. “It has the best pastries and is a great space to catch up with friends or get some work done,” she says.
Brianna is 5'6 and wears a US 6. She wears the Japanese Indigo Denim Workwear Jacket and Annie Japanese Indigo Denim Full Length Pants. “I love the quality of the Japanese denim. The pieces feel simple and modern. I especially love how seamlessly they work together to create a polished look.”
Andy
Andy joined TOAST five months ago, first as a Sales Associate before being promoted to Assistant Store Manager two months ago. His favourite local spot is Vita, “an Italian restaurant less than a block from the shop,” he says. “And you might even spot me there, serving up some pasta and good vibes in my free time.”
Andy is 5’6 and wears XS in tops and 28-30 in bottoms. He has chosen the Shadow Cotton Ikat Shirt and the Rory Carpenter Ecru Denim Jeans. “These are pieces I know I’ll be reaching for in my closet for a long, long time.”
