Novesta’s story begins in the 1930s, when renowned shoemaker Jan Antonin Bata established a factory in the small Slovakian town of Partizánske. Decades later, Novesta remains one of the last brands to produce shoes entirely in Europe.
Now, they use machinery alongside skilled makers to create its footwear. A key feature of Novesta's production process is its use of vulcanisation, in which the natural rubber sole is heat-sealed to the shoe without the use of harmful glues or chemicals.
Novesta has collaborated with TOAST to produce our range of minimalist sneakers and plimsolls, with its signature vulcanised sole. Each shoe uses weather resistant materials for all manner of outdoor explorations.
