Finding Pattern

On the coastal Mornington Peninsula, just south of Melbourne, ceramicist Amy Leeworthy creates sculptural vessels rooted in function. Raised in a family of artists, Amy draws on her background in painting and sculpture to shape ceramics that are both expressive and enduring. Her work is inspired by the expansive natural surroundings.

Working from her studio by the coast, Amy uses a mix of wheel-throwing, hand-building, and hand-painting techniques to bring each piece to life. Playful geometric patterns and a vibrant palette of glazes reflect her painter’s eye and love of colour.

Her collection for TOAST is defined by its use of stripes and geometric block patterns.
