Fern Taylor Ceramics
Having studied Fine Art at university, Fern Taylor experimented with painting before discovering ceramics. Her practice draws from the traditional Japanese method of layering coloured clays to create patterns, known as nerikomi. As a result, each piece is unique.
Wide mug crafted by Fern Taylor, a ceramicist whose hand-built work demonstrates the Japanese technique of Nerikomi. Created from combining and layering different coloured clays, then slicing through them to reveal a unique grid pattern that varies from piece to piece.

Made in the United Kingdom.
Each ceramic piece has been thrown or pressed and glazed by hand. Due to the handmade nature, there may be pleasing variations and irregularities in colour, size and shape.
