A Curation of Vintage Japanese Workwear
Thursday 20th February – Sunday 29th March
Noragi meaning 'workwear' is a term for a range of garments worn by farmers in rural Japan, from ancient times through to the early 20th century. Unlike the traditional kimono, the jackets have short tapered sleeves and an unstructured shape, designed for freedom of movement when working in the fields. Once an everyday item of clothing, noragi are now increasingly rare and highly collectible. Visit TOAST Mayfair to view and purchase this unique collection of vintage noragi. Each piece has been individually selected and collected over years of travelling across Japan. All vary in age and style.
This curation is free to attend.
