Hand woven straps at the upper, and a chunky, plaited jute and natural rubber sole. Made by Guanabana. The straps for our Hand Woven Espadrilles have been woven by a community of artisans in the coffee regions of Colombia on traditional Egyptian hand looms. The artisans are able to control the looms by hand, using a system of cards and shuttles to move the threads to their designs. The straps are then attached to a traditional espadrille base in Spain.
